2nd Quebec Foie Gras Investigation
Overview
Over the period of a week, our investigator gathered many hours of video footage, much of it revealing the callous attitude the foie gras industry has towards the ducks they force feed to create a needless product for the rich.
The video evidence shows a number of apparent violations of the animal welfare provisions in the Criminal Code of Canada including employees slamming live ducks into the floor, grabbing ducks by their necks and throwing them through the air and force feeding ducks to the point where they vomited food stained bright red with blood from their damaged throats. Shockingly, one employee, a fifteen year old boy, was documented “testing” his new hunting knife on a live duck by slowly cutting its throat.
