Circuses

Take Action

What you can do

Boycott

Don't frequent circuses that use animals - whenever you buy a ticket to attend a circus you are funding cruelty to animals. Instead, attend circuses that have chosen not to exploit animals like the world renowned Cirque de Soleil. There are many animal free circuses you can go and see!

Petition

Residents of Montreal - Global Action Network is petitioning the City of Montreal to ban exotic animal acts in entertainment. We have already achieved this legislation in the Town of Mount Royal and Ville Saint-Laurent - please help us now in Montreal.  Please download the petition here.

Write a letter

Residents of Montreal - Send a letter to Mayor Gerald Tremblay, asking that the City of Montreal enact specific legislation to prohibit animal acts in circuses.

Residents of Laval - Circuses also take place in the City of Laval. Please call or send letters asking for a bylaw that prohibits animal acts in entertainment. We've provided you with a sample letter to help you write one yourself.
